@libby Wow, that’s really sweet. If I had been them that would have made me cry. xD

Here’s a poem I’ve written and even drawn a picture for:

 

The Monster

There is a scary monster

Underneath my bed

With teeth and horns all sharpened

Sticking out his head

 

He lives down there to watch me sleep

He stares and glares so bright,

He rubs his stomach – it growls deep,

He’s waiting for some bites.

 

When I make my mother check

She says that he is gone

But I still saw his shadow there

So she must be all wrong.

 

 

I’m thinking I should add some more verses – either proving the existence of the monster but then him becoming the boy’s friend, or showing that it was merely his imagination twisting the shadows of the things under his bed to appear to be a monster.

What do you guys think?
