“This is strange,” Ellie agreed.

“And quite miserable,” Lacey added.

Finn walked on in silence not acknowledging the heat. This wasn’t anything new to him, so it was hot but tolerable.

“I don’t remember it being so hot at home,” Lacey started again, “except that time we had the festival with that huge fire and Julian got way too close. Finn had to splash him with water because his clothes started to light up.”

Julian rolled his eyes and Finn smirked.

“Good memories,” Ellie smiled.
