I enjoy painting characters too; it can be really fun, especially when the character’s appearance is particularly foreboding/distinct. However, I have a hard time knowing when I’m giving a good, thorough description and when I’m just rambling on about miniscule details that bore the reader. How do you know when “enough is enough”?
