OOOOOHHH this is gonna be FUN! XD haha you definitely got Evie right. At least where she is in life right now…

She’s 5’6, long brown hair, and brown, slightly hazel, eyes. Her hair is down right now, and she’s wearing a tattered muddy brown training dress, which is regrettable since she didn’t bring anything to change into… XD

Also I love your new pfp!!!! šŸ˜€

Also @inkhorn just ignore this whole exchange since it’s happening before Khalon got there! šŸ™‚

    Evie

The man looked into the distance, over Evie’s shoulder. ā€œNo.ā€ he turned back to look at her. ā€It was just a bad joke–bad timing, I suppose,” he said.

    She sighed.

Somehow she figured there was more malice under there than he let on.

ā€œI’ll take that,” Qatar said, his gaze straying to where Evie still gripped the knife.

Evie’s heart filled with dread. She didn’t feel good about giving master dark-eyes the weapon.

She still had her own dagger, but still.

    No.

ā€œDon’t worry. I wouldn’t do anything to him–or you or myself. I like murder and death just as little as you do.ā€ He shifted his shoulders. ā€œEspecially just now.ā€

Evie’s lips turned up in a wry, humorless smile.

I like it more than you know.

If anyone ever saw her secret musings about battle, they’d lock her up for mass murder.

But she did believe him. She relaxed her grip on the knife somewhat reluctantly, allowing him to take it from her.

He loomed over her, the height difference between them seeming huge.

Evie suddenly felt trapped. Very, very trapped.

    He had a weapon now.

She pressed herself against the wall, plotting a route of escape in case Qatar decided to go rogue on her.

He was currently looking at Quin.

    Evie sighed.

    Why were siblings so… sibling-ish?

She glared up at Qatar, eyes impassive.

But when he looked back at her, he seemed to register the apprehension beneath the surface.

He took a step back. “I’m Qatar. Your name is?…”

Evie relaxed. He didn’t have ill intentions. She licked her lips, suddenly aware of how thirsty she was.

She’d have to ask Niarok or somebody nice like him for water.

“I’m Evie,” she said. “I…um. What’s your story?”

The haunted look in Qatar’s eyes immediately told her she’d asked exactly the wrong question, but she wasn’t backing down now.
