    Hellloooo everyone I’m aliveeeee (actually I highly doubt that statement as I’m currently having an existential crisis brought on by plot holes…)

    It’s finnnneeeeee.

    I mean, we also know it’s not, but y’all are writers. You understand.

    *cries in corner*

    Okay, I’m back. XD

    @rose-colored-fancy

    I totally know that feeling! It’s been dark, cold, and wet here and I’m already sick of winter and it hasn’t even officially started yet!

    We had a sprinkle of snow but it all rained away so I barely saw it. That’s early in the year for us though, our heaviest fall is late January/February.

    Lol yeesssss!!!!! I mean, I was actually excited for winter this year, and of course the only year I’ve been genuinely excited for winter had to be the same year that it’s literally failing to occur. UUUGGHHHHH…. I also hate it when there’s snow and rain at the same time because it’s not refreshing rain and it’s not pretty snow so it’s just depression. Actually, that’s not true. I love darkness and gloom and clouds because it makes me feel like I’m in a fantasy world, but at the same time, I hate it. Ya know what I mean? XD

    Ngl, I sometimes go back and reread a specific death scene because it physically hurts and then I’m very proud of myself XD That scene was so bad that after I wrote it, every time I think of that character I have that sick sinking feeling and it’s glorious XD

    Man, we’re weird XD

    YEESSSSS SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, to be fair, I’ve never written a punch in the gut type death scene to date because I haven’t gotten far enough in the story to get to the high stakes yet… But there’s this one character who I knew from the beginning was going to die, and every time I think of her, I feel like crying.

    Naturally, I make a concerted effort to think about her a lot. XD

    Lol trueeeee… But we don’t talk about that.

    Yesss, it’s the absolute best!! I love Niarok and he has a really cool dynamic with Aydin. I really wonder how that’s going to develop now Aydin kinda clicked into his “nobody cares about me anyway so I’m not even going to try” mode. It’s interesting XD He might hurt Niarok’s feelings though…

    Yes sammeee!!!!!! I’m curious too. I feel like Niarok is either going to take up the slack and just keep being nice, or he’s going to pull away and let Ayden have space, and I have no idea what’s going to happen because Niarok is withdrawn in the back of my mind having his own existential crisis so we’re not communicating right now so… Yeah. I’m interested to see what he does… Oh, trust me. It’s realllly hard to hurt Niarok’s feelings. He’s heard just about the worst insults and rejections possible. It’s amazing what people will say to you when you’re operating on their mortal wound with no anesthetic… XD

    *Laughs manically* THAT SOUNDS AWESOME DO IT!!! We’re all pulling up our most traumatized characters though XD She and Liorah will either hate each other or get along great XD

    YESSSSSSSS SHE’S COMING IN AT SOME POINT HERE SOOOONNN!!!!!

    Actually…

    Well, I’ll mention that at the bottom.

    LOL, I already planned her entrance and it makes me laugh every time I think of it because it’s so very on-brand for her XD She’s going to make everything worse XDD

    She’ll definitely distract Aydin though. Everytime they’re together he just becomes a very worried older brother who is very annoyed he has to babysit her XD And Liorah indulges her ‘manic youngest sibling’ energy much to his horror XD

    HAHAHAHA I can just imagine the chaos that is going to ensue and I’m HERE FOR IT!!!! XD I can definitely see her distracting Niarok too since he apparently, unbeknownst to me, has an extreme dad complex. XD After he basically adopted all these hoodlums without my permission, I can just imagine the beauteous hilarium that is going to be his attempting to assist Aydin in the wrangling of the manic youngest sibling…

    Oh my I’m like… really really really full of big words tonight and idk why… XD

    Yessss!!!! Let’s go!!!

    *casually sips tea* Darkness. ‘Tis me favorite thing to write…

    😀

    I noticed a really interesting contrast between the way Aydin told his history and how Niarok told his. Aydin almost exclusively spoke in third person, leaving himself out of the story completely, while Niarok owned up to his backstory.

    I think it’s also because Aydin won’t accept it, he’s trying so hard to reject his history that he can’t bear to associate himself with it, while Niarok accepts that it happened and and that there’s nothing he can do about it.

    That’s a really good point! I totally wrote Niarok’s backstory without even thinking. he was just talking and I was typing and then we had the speech, but that’s sooo interesting! You’re right, he does just accept it. I think that explains a lot of why he acts like he does. he’s decided that that’s his past, he can’t change it, and therefore he’s not going to concentrate on that, he’s going to concentrate on being the person he wants to be and not the assassin his father wanted him to be. Thank you immensely for putting that into words… XD

    @everyone

    I’m strongly considering just pulling Leytera out now and dropping my other character in as I’m not currently writing Leytera and I honestly need mental help with this other character who has an obnoxious habit of strangling my brain from the inside out with her weird inconsistencies. Soooo…

    Thoughts?

    I mean, I think Leytera has some good chemistry with some of the characters like Quin and Klein, but the castle’s currently not doing much for her as I have no motivation to write her…

    Anyways…

    I’m going to go write Niarok now…
