Ignis studied the instructional pamphlet a few seconds more before answering. “The wound does need to be cleaned and bandaged, but it can be accomplished without removing her hoodie. You see, this isn’t the kind of med-kit you’re used to. It contains some advanced medical technology that a friend from another dimension gave me. We can use the nano-tech patches-” Ignis gestured to the gray fabric looking patches that Megyn had laid out. “-to sterilize and close the wound without removing her hoodie. Although the instructions do say it’s preferable to apply directly to the injured location, it’s not a must. However, we should administer a pain killer before applying the patch. Not that the patch will hurt, but it’ll feel weird having nanites acting as temporary cells until your body can heal itself. At least, that’s what Val says.”

Megyn’s frowned, puzzled.

“Okay…” Storm stared blankly at Ignis a few moments, then shook her head as though to clear it. “What do you say, Sarah?”

‘Sarah’ shook her head hard. Looking more alarmed at Ignis as she talked about the strange gadgets.

Megyn glanced at her, pressed her lips together and glanced back at Ignis.

Storm noticed “Sarah’s” growing alarm. “Uh… No offense, but do we have anything more natural?” she asked.

Megyn nodded in agreement.
