Hmm . . . here’s an idea my sister wrote:

He (or she) stepped up to the ivy covered wall. Brushing back the green leaves, he studied the golden object. It was a plaque of some sort of writing on it. He leaned closer and read aloud these words.

 To a secret land I am key.

Worlds unknown are kept by me.

Just say my words and you’ll see

What adventure poetry can be.

As he finished reading, the gold began to glow and shine. It moved aside to reveal a hole straight through the wall.

The light shone so brightly through the hole that for moment he could see nothing. Shutting his eyes against the brightness, he tried to step backwards. But there seemed to be a force pulling him forwards . . .

He opened his eyes, then blinked in wonder. Everything had changed.
