Well, y’all got this covered! I love what @wordsmith and @happyholly_c said in their first two posts.
I really like the idea of having a founding story, but that’s not something I think we could come up with before tomorrow! Such short notice! I’d want something like that to be well done and thought out beforehand.
Memory: Maybe less a memory and more a favorite part of Rillumen, but I love the critique boards. I love getting into the nitty gritty and seeing what others write, of giving them a new perspective and hopefully helping out where I can. I love that they come to my side and help me when I’m brave enough to post something of my own.
One sent description: Rillumen is a community of warriors of light, a group of friends who enjoy each other’s company, who challenge one another to grow in skill and in Christ, and who throw many muffin parties for squirrels.
Gov/culture: Maybe it’s just the fantasy in me, but I think we’d be a kingdom. A kingdom led by the King of Light. May our swords ever be sharp and our hearts lit by His truth and love. Our culture is like a little piece of home. The people of our kingdom are safe here, but we’re also constantly training to defend our home and protect our borders. We fight injustice and stand for those who cannot. We’re known for our hospitality and our bravery, for our fortitude and our kindness. We bear each others burdens and we walk with one another through times of trial and times of joy. We encourage, uplift, challenge, and grow. Luminites walk boldly through the dusty streets with the swords of light hanging from our hips that we’ve dedicated time and effort sharpening.
Crest: I have no digital talent, but we had previously discussed the silver/gold stream against a royal blue kind of background or a dark green forest with light filtering through for a logo or t-shirt, so…?
Misc.: I think it might be good to add something about our focus on description and setting for the year as well as our emphasis on critiquing the work of other members.
Ooh, this is so exciting!!! And, I still want to do a t-shirt idea!
