I would basically echo what @literatureforthelight said, especially about keeping a copy of your first draft to look back on if you need to. I learned the hard way that sometimes, after all the editing, you realize there was a scene or description that you liked way better in the original, but you just can’t seem to replicate it now that it’s gone. 😛

I would also say don’t worry too much about grammar unless it’s distracting you. That can generally wait until you have everything else about how you like it. 🙂
