<p>I just took the test for my two protagonists, and it was surprisingly difficult and accurate. I’d never tried to get inside the mind of my characters that deeply before and it was eye opening, to say the least. I still need to do it twice more, which should be interesting. I’ll let you know how it goes. 🙂</p>

Things like blood rituals, human/animal sacrifices, and appealing to a dark patron as the source of the powers. Or, if you have them, you should portray them as wrong.</p>

I&#8217;ve also completed NaNo twice and all the things she said have worked really well for me. I also tend to have a reward system in place. For example, when I reach 10k I buy myself a packet of lollies or a chocolate bar. My first recommendation is to make sure you&#8217;re writing a story you&#8217;re passionate about. If you try to write something that you&#8217;re writing to <em>finish</em> rather than writing because you enjoy the story, it&#8217;s not likely to go well. (I speak from experience.
