@evelyn Yo, that’s a pretty sweet idea- it makes sense for the political head of a region to be invested in either promoting or outright controlling the manufacturing process, and for people to try and subvert that.

@steward-of-the-pen @consciousdreamer It makes sense that for the nonsentient dragons especially the Hatcheries, you’d need special training of some kind. I’d imagine though, that for the sentient Great Dragons it’d be a bit different, since each has a personality- you’d still need training of course, but it looks more like a partnership with them. Here’s some examples that I thought of (any setting stuff being tentative until we look at the political/cultural climate):

Corsis Nuur Honen
Aliases: The Silver King, Ruler of the Sky, Stormwing
Application/Capabilities: Air superiority. Corsis achieves this via anti-air ordinance, a shock cannon mounted in the frame’s “mouth”, superior flight maneuverability, and a weather control system.
Current Activity: The foremost power in the aerial forces of His Imperial Majesty Harn.
Attendants (and Relations With): Corsis is piloted by Roland, one of Harn’s chief lieutenants. Corsis and Roland have formed a friendship over the years, as both of them see in Harn a cause worth fighting for and someone deserving of loyalty respectively.

Haleonis
Aliases: The Wordwyrm
Application/Capabilities: Mass information storage. Frame is designed to be the size of many city blocks, and contains some residential quarters.
Current Activity: Haleonis acts as a mobile library. Has been recognized as irreplaceable and so by treaty has been granted sovereignty and recognized as a neutral state.
Attendants (and Relations With): The Docents serve as guides to visitors, act as security, and provide maintenance for Haleonis. Their symbol is an open book with a quill on one page and an eye on the other. Haleonis sees them as partners.

Vidente
Aliases: The Watcher
Application/Capabilities: Surveillance satellite processing hub. Primary body is an underground “lair” that hosts most computing power. Includes multiple servitor drones and a larger, primary avatar frame.
Current Activity: Vidente provides council and advice to those in power. Anyone can come to enquire of him, but given that he’s somewhat stingy with what he volunteers such an endeavor may take some effort. Has been recognized as irreplaceable and so by treaty has been granted sovereignty and recognized as a neutral state, like Haleonis. Maintains correspondence with Haleonis.
Attendants (and Relations With): Vidente has enlisted the services of The Veil to act as his guards and lawmen in the town that has sprung up around his lair. Unlike Haleonis above, he treats The Veil more as subordinates than partners.

Polodoris
Aliases: The Ark
Application/Capabilities: Floating-oceanic habitation administration system. Roughly the size of a small island, and designed to be capable of sealing the original populace inside itself in order to dive.
Current Activity: Polodoris is currently serving as the foundation for the city-state of Polodoris. However, infrastructure added since creation is not as water-tight as the original materials, thus resulting in reduced submerging time.
Attendants (and Relations With): The Republic of Polodoris enjoys a place of being a maritime power and center for commerce, what with literally being built on a Great Dragon. This has made the population as a whole rather snooty, but especially those who sit on the Council of Electors as leaders. Polodoris, of course, also sits on the Council and is happy to collaborate but is ready to remind them that it  is more than a floating island.

What’re your thoughts? Those aren’t necessarily the only four categories, but it may help serve as a starting point. By the way, tell me if I’m jumping the gun on setting details.
