I know what you mean about trying to dive deeper into Scripture. Sometimes reading plans have too much to read per day! I enjoy taking things slowly too. 🙂 My favorite book of the Bible is probably Isaiah -or Colossians. What are some of your favorite books of the Bible? (I know it’s hard to pick just one!)

Also, I thought I’d mention one of my favorite book series since you said you like historical fiction. 🙂 It’s called “Chosen Daughters” and is based off of real women in history who impacted the world for God. I love it, mainly because the stories are based off of fact! My absolute favorite book in the series is “Against the Tide” about Margaret Wilson, a young woman in Scotland who was martyred for her faith. It’s a encouraging and thought provoking read for sure.
