I like the ideas. I’m not sure about breaking the 4th dimension though, because I know I did that with my first novel and honestly, that ruined it. But I think doing it in the 1st person, combined with exposing Bryka’s thoughts, will also break the 4th dimension, in a way. I also like the idea of creating new creatures in this world. I feel that dragons–although the coolest animals out there–are also pretty common. What if we created a giant phoenix-like creature? A dragon-sized bird that is predatory and extremely territorial? The government of the war-torn planet could have bred them and released them to take over control of the planet. Or maybe it’s not that at all. Maybe the phoenixes were bred as pets and forms of transportation, like horses, but there was a flaw in their genetics that one day caused them to go bad and destroy the planet, and the government is getting blamed. What do you think?
