| Premise of Current Novel |
Estranged sisters Gia and Vera are both almost broke, though in very different situations—one in an impoverished hut, the other in a gilded floating city. Both, however, need brightstone to pay the rent, and the best way to get brightstone fast is by diving for pearls in monster-infested waters. There are only two problems: Gia’s overprotective, fire-obsessed lover and Vera’s fear of water.
