Okay, this is getting kinda confusing, but here we go.  Out of order part with Jaylin and Dharin. @anne_the_noob14

Jaylin nodded his head slowly. “I don’t know…Maybe we should try.” He stood up. “I’ll go get a piece of the mirror you broke, stay here.”

Dharin put his hand on Jaylin’s arm. “Are…are you sure that’s a good idea?”

Jaylin smiled. “No, but we have nothing to lose by trying.”

***** normal time now

“What of our friends? The ones who already faded? Jaylin asked, stepping forward. He didn’t much like this man’s arrogant way, but decided he should ask.

(I don’t remember which name he gave Jaylin) Franz shot him a warning glance, but Jaylin ignored him. “And the mirrors? My friend looked into one of them and saw things. He saw his father, his mother, and his sister. We think the mirror fed on his pain and showed him things he didn’t like seeing.” Jaylin felt bold and stared the man directly in the eyes.

The man shook his head. “I do not know.”

Franz spoke up next. “Is this your castle?”

Jaylin had been wondering the same.

“It is my uncle’s. I visit sometimes when he is traveling, to keep things in line. But I had not heard of the mirrors and… fading.”

Jaylin felt angered by this answer though he didn’t quite know why.

“Who is your uncle?” Franz asked. Jaylin thought he was getting suspicious.

“Baron Javier Vulferym. Heard of him?”

Jaylin smirked. What kind of name is that? He really didn’t like this man.

“I haven’t. Who are you?” Franz said.

The man raised an eyebrow. “Rather forward, aren’t you? I am Commander Olavir Vulferym. You all may call me Commander, Commander Vulferym, or sir, if you are answering a yes or no question.”

Jaylin felt his cheeks getting hot with anger. Who did this man think he was?

“Never heard of you either, sir.” Franz spoke again, this time with a slightly mocking tone in his voice.

Jaylin smiled.
