Living in a world where the ground is dust and the sky is- wait it’s still blue nevermind. Anyways, living in a dystopian world, the ruler, Reeve, keeps everyone in poverty and sickness. Bree, an outgoing and exciting young girl, finds herself trying to discover a way to kill her immortal ruler and tear down their government system to allow her people to live freely. With several groundbreaking twists, Bree finds herself in the Capital city, her best friend and accomplice in this crime turning on her, killing their friend who may have been Bree’s last chance at success.
Bree goes back to her rebel group, broken-hearted and defeated, but later decides to go back to the Capital where her friend was murdered by someone she used to call a sibling. Unsure for only a moment if she’d make it out alive, Bree made her way back to the murderer, only to hear unbelievable secret’s that shakes her world and changes everything forever.
