@ariella-newheart Thanks! And yes, that character in the leaf snippet does seem oddly familiar, doesn’t it. 🤔 Ironically, I was also thinking of a red-headed, wavy-haired character while writing it. Maybe I was unconsciously thinking about Ariella. xD

@elisha-starquill I really like that idea, and I’d say go for it. But after reading Backstays of the Sun and then copying and pasting the whole thing onto a word doc, I found out the whole story has almost 5,500 words in it. Our word limit is 2,500 words. I’m not very experienced in writing, but is it possible to fit that many scenes in without the story feeling rushed?

What do you guys think? Maybe just pick like three defining scenes and have the MC reminisce on those? Also, how long does it normally take to write and edit these guild war stories? We should probably get something down on the doc within the next day and then begin editing.
