How’s writing? How’s school/work? How’s life? Anything interesting going on? I know the guilds have kinda been replaced by the groups, but we’re all still a guild, so I’m checking in 🙂

*hands everyone coffee/tea/ hot cocoa, and scones/cookies/brownies*

So! To answer my own questions…

My writing is going pretty well. I’m working on the novel I started for NaNoWriMo last year, and it’s up to like 21.5k words so far. Hoping to get that to 40k-ish before next NaNo. Also need to write a short story before Friday of this week… O.o Wish me luck! And my uncle has developed three story ideas that he asked me if I’d write (he’s not a writer), and he’s supposed to be emailing me info tonight. So I’ll be working on that as well.

School is going alright. I’m trying to get all my ducks in a row so I can enroll in dual credit classes this fall. Been studying for the SAT. *deep breath* I’m actually not too worried about how I’ll do on it. (To clarify what I mean, I’m doing quite well on the practice tests.) I think I’ll get a good score.

Life in general is ok. (Some of you may know that I recently lost my granny, and I’ve been struggling with that. I’m ok during the day, but at night when I don’t really have anything to occupy my mind, it’s hard. Prayers for me and the rest of my family would be appreciated.) I’m slowly getting driving hours in (which reminds me I need to be working on the online portion of drivers’ ed as well, oops XD), and getting up to 30 total by my birthday will be easy. I’m on spring break right now, and I’m hoping to get some around-the-house stuff done this week. I’m working on building another bookshelf for my room. Finished staining it this afternoon.

I’m rereading the Ranger’s Apprentice series (it’s awesome). Um… *thinks* All the pets are doing good. One of my hens should be hatching chicks Wednesday-ish, so I went out this afternoon and pulled up all the stinging nettle in the pen. I’m not sure if it’d bother chickens or not, but if I have to go walking around in the pen, I’d rather not have it all over my ankles XD

Some of you also know (I think… I really don’t remember who all knew) that my mom had surgery in December. She’s doing very well. Healing well and recovering fast. I thank all of you who prayed for us when we were dealing with all that <3

As far as anything interesting that’s going on… I kinda already mentioned some things, but some things I’m looking forward to this year include turning sixteen, getting my drivers’ license, the birthday parties of a couple friends, and hopefully getting one of my WIPs close to being finished. (The aforementioned novel from NaNo.) My brother and I are also taking karate lessons from a friend, and enjoying that a lot. And I’ve been learning a few songs on the piano.

So I guess that’s pretty much everything. Hopefully everybody’s doing great and continues to do great! <3
