I’m pretty happy with my writing style. Although, I do struggle with deciding what’s important to my novel. I tend to overlook setting, only mentioning little snippets of it every now and then. I’ve been told that I should really describe my setting more, but I have no idea how to begin. I am writing a science fiction novel, so I did have to world build. I guess what I find even harder is describing this unique setting from the eyes of someone who is disconnected from humanity. There are a lot of words and phrases that are off limits to me. Showing emotions in my characters is also rather difficult because many of them are experiencing emotion for the first time in their lives.
