<p>Hi, Laurel. 🙂 Your story sounds super interesting! I&#8217;m especially intrigued by the psychological part. I love mysteries. Incidentally, I&#8217;m working on a mystery novel right now, where the protagonist is trying to solve his parents murder and take down the crime boss who killed them (and a lot of other people).</p>

Horror books are interesting, and if you look closely you can see themes in them, they&#8217;re just like any other genre, you still have to be careful what you read, but keep in mind that your horror is up to you, you decide what horror is and how you can show people god&#8217;s hand through it. </p>

You really only have a few surface level similarities. Even the &#8220;sharing wounds&#8221; is more like &#8220;when the alien gets sick, the main character gets sick&#8221; in the movie.</p>
