Update: I just made some changes to my Rapunzel story. The Rapunzel character is still a heart transplant patient, but I left out the telepathic spies and the authoritarian president and just have her be a member of a verbally abusive cult, though she changes her mind about staying in the cult. Oh, and her uncle and primary caregiver is the cult’s high priest, adding to the drama.
