How concerned are you about using an existing name? Do you go for complete originality?
Admittedly not concerned at all. If I know someone with a pretty name I’m writing it down and using it, everything is free game. Baby name websites are my best friend. As long as it seems to fit the genre, I’ll use anything. (I wouldn’t have a medieval character named Karen, for example.)
It sounds like you have a good plan! I bet it’ll work out great!
