Ruan’s asked, sounding uncertain.

Quin looked up at him with blank eyes. No. Go away. Both of you, just please go… His shoulders sagged. “Sure.”

He watched as the tall man knelt down next to him. Even kneeling he was taller than Quin, and as he stared down at him, he seemed to change his mind and moved to a sitting position. Something about his gray, searching eyes [@mamaauthoress, I TOTALLY forgot what eye color Ruan has…:( ] made Quin uneasy. He shifted and looked from Ruan to Basil and back to Ruan.

He hoped they wouldn’t say anything.

Ruan opened his mouth.

No. not that question.

“What…happened?”
