    Aha! My creative juice fountain is flowing again! I have material!

    Amberley’s PoV

    I stared curiously at the three new girls. The first one, Mercedes, was about fifteen, with long golden-blonde hair, and deep blue eyes. Gabi was was about eighteen, with auburn hair, Lia about a year younger, with blue eyes and blond hair. All three had weapons, like everyone else except me and Emberyn, I noted wryly.

    “So what do the grown-ups think we should do?” asked Hermione.

    “Well,” Rupert began, but he was cut off by a song: Reel Around the Sun. My cousin Aisling’s ringtone.

    I stared at Emberyn incredulously.

    “How is Aisling calling me? I thought we couldn’t contact anyone outside of the Castle?”

    Emberyn shook his head and shrugged. “Dunno, but you better answer her.”

    I pulled my phone out from my pocket and hit the answer button. Aisling’s face appeared on my screen. She was sitting on her beanbag chair, and from the sounds in the background, the gang was over. She grinned at me, blue-green eyes sparkling.

    “Hi Am! How’re you–whoa, where are you??? Is that a tapestry behind you? And stone? Are you in some sort of medieval castle?!”

    I sighed, and proceeded to explain everything to her. When I reached Macha, Aisling gasped and went pale, and I heard clattering in the background, followed by someone cursing in Gaelic. “You’re kidding me.”

    “I wish I was.”

    “So, where are all these people?”

    I turned the phone towards everybody and introduced them. When I turned the phone back to myself, several more people had appeared on the screen: mischievous Ruse, straight-laced Teaghan, shy Daisy, and bookish Shaye.

    “So, what’s your plan of attack?” asked Teaghan.

    “Some of us are going to try and find Macha’s lair. The others are going to infiltrate the library, and steal a book with information on Macha.”

    Aisling raised an eyebrow. “Well, I guess we can save you part of the trouble and tell you about Macha ourselves, including her weaknesses.”

    Silence covered the room as everyone turned to stare at the phone.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Aisling is my main character. Just so y’all know, I haven’t gotten very far in my book yet, so I will just be using ideas for what happened in the book, not whatever is actually gonna happen. Hopefully this gets the story rolling again.
