Riure was gone. Just gone. Klein let loose with expletives. She was just a kid. She didn’t deserve to die like that. Klein felt his blood begin to boil. Shifting his weight around, he threw a punch. As hard as he could. The barrier shattered against his blow, surprising Klein.

But he was free. Back in his armor. Leaping back from the board, Klein grabbed his rifle. He would not let another person become a pawn in that prison. Cutting loose with the shotgun, Klein watched as pieces scattered against the far wall. Three shells destroyed the game.

With it gone, Klein leaned back against the wall. A few quick gasps and he resumed normal breathing. The boy was still there. Zanar wasn’t it. Scooping him into a hug, Klein remained quite. He knew too little to comfort the child properly.

“Well, I seem to have underestimated your abilities.”

“I will find you. You can’t hid from me.” Hissed Klein.

“You might but this is boring. Lets see what a larger team can do.”
