Hello! I’ve been writing some poems and it’s my first time to share some of them. Here’s one that I’d love to share. This is my first time and attempt to write a sonnet and I hope I can learn and improve in the future. 🙂

 

Lonely Sonnet

 

The moonlight brushed up across his pale face

As his trembling soul could not recover

He dreamt about her voice for days and days

The sweet voice of a beautiful lover

She reminds him of the sweet green grasslands

And of the lively noises of nature

Nothing is more nostalgic than her hands

Wrapped around his so crinkled and mature

Many nights has he been chasing some sleep

With his pillow tear stained every night

Because the pain in his chest digs down deep

The hope of his life was out of plain sight

Nothing can heal him from this pain again

Except this lonely sonnet and my pen
