@backwardslivewriter, oh thanks! (I hope I can pull it off) If you see a flaw in it don’t mind hurting my feelings please <3
Your concept sounds complex! Is there a particular importance to them being twins? There doesn’t have to be, but it’s a cool idea to play with! Definitely something I’d read especially the intertwining of two different viewpoints/stories and the parallel of them both being twins. Who are the mixed-breeds?
@lonathecat, Haha…yeah it’s confusing, that’s one of my biggest problems writing I try to tell too much too quick. What I need for that is more focus on just 1-2 things at a time so it’ll have to be a slow burn with subplots to demonstrate every aspect of the main plot…hopefully. Thank you for pointing that out, it really is one of my biggest problems! Lemmie see if I can’t sum up the actually important points there, focusing on the theme here:

The first book is a high fantasy thriller following Alessio, a fugitive prince who has C-PTSD, born with strongest powers seen since the Great War, as he follows a puzzle-trail of old legends to find the missing Temple Ruins where gifteds were trained. All the time hounded by secrets that could shift the tide of both the war and internal violence, he has to keep hidden surviving with the help of a brawling glass girl and a newly knighted citizen of Avonia, the kingdom Alessio’s home is at war with. For characters steeped in violence, manipulative situations and intrigue questions spill through each new-formed friendship:
What is love, especially against co-dependency, obsession and narcissist abuse?
How far does respect for another’s decisions go when their own choices are self-injurious?
What is the line between right and wrong under extreme duress or even just the fear of such?
And how can you know your own identity after you’ve spent a lifetime suppressing it?

…was it better or still a little confusing? Thanks again for pointing that out! What’s your WIP about?
