Idk if I can explain it well.

Their magic system is pretty simple. You learn a spell, and make sure your pronunciation and wand motions are right. Then whatever the spell is supposed to do just happens. It does take effort to learn a spell, though. But after you’ve mastered it there’s no cost to casting it.

There are also potions and other magical items/creatures, but I don’t know if they’ll be using many of those in the castle.
