A dungeon. With a monster at the door. A window. An autistic girl. A strong man. Interesting predicament. 🙂

Are both the girl and the man in prison? Are they the ones that need escaping? Does the window have bars? Is the monster brains, brawn, or both (ooh, accidental alliteration, I love those!)?

A few random may or may-not work ideas (in list form, of course):

1. Someone creates a distraction for the monster, then they escape out of the door and run/fight the monster.
2. Communicate to the rest of the prison and get all the prisoners to work together (something that happened in my book).
3. Assuming the window is barred, and assuming said “strong man” is needing to get out, have the strong man break/bend/cut the bars, then they can escape that way.
4. Have them find a loose stone/floor board/brick and find something useful inside.
5. If the monster is smart, have them make friends with it or something.
6. Probably the most cliché idea, but have someone else be in the cell with them/in the next cell who can help.
