@laur_m, sounds to me like you’re not moving around in circles, but in the right direction! I had a similar issue with the first novel I tried to write (which ended up being scrapped for parts) I wanted it to be an adventure story, but it ended up a romance. Sometimes, a story can go a lot of ways, but there’s often only one best way, and it’s very satisfying when you find it.
