Just some thoughts and questions:
Maybe there could be something like high judges for the competition? And each gets to grant a player of his choice an excuse from elimination once over the whole course of the games. One of the judges could possibly be the villain from earlier.
I think that it could be interesting if the arena that all the games take place in is like, transformable? Like it can shift metal parts and become whatever the players need to pass, like a maze, or an obstacle course, or game stadium. It can be programmed, and the villian tells the programmer to make it hard form some and easier for others.
Also, what will the age range be for the players? I was thinking maybe like 14 or 16 to 52 or something. The older ones probably have experience fighting and also working on the council, and some of the younger ones are more energetic in a fight.
What will be the levels of the games? I mentioned a maze, obstacle course, and some sort of sports game, above and maybe a sword fight, archery contest, a free-for-all choose-your-weapon fight (or build your own weapon), or some sort of battle against a creature or robot. Any of those might work…
Should we base the countries off real or past countries? Because you mentioned that yours weren’t based on real cultures even though they shared a name…did you mean on cultures that don’t exist anymore?
Do the games have a name yet? If not Interplanetary Travails or Trails or something might work…. Or Gladitorium and the contestants Gladiators if the Roman culture is predominant.
I’ll mention the name options I like in a separate post, this one’s getting kinda long.
