@corkybookworm  This is absolutely charming!

(I’m a big fan of Tinker Bell, though I usually keep that fact under my hat. 😉 ) So this was a delight. It has the same whimsical feel as a Tinker Bell story.

Two things I’m super curious about is 1) why Maya has tiny wings. And 2) what did the dryad warn Maya to run from!

It’s a fun world and personally, I could clearly picture each scene Maya was in.  Great job!

I would only echo what Rachel said about a couple places of telling rather than showing. Such as where it was said that it didn’t take Maya long to feel hopelessly lost again. It’s hard to connect with her hopelessness when I’m just told about it. I need help feeling her hopelessness. The next line actually helps with that when it says”In every direction she saw only more giant, silent trees.” Perhaps there’s more details like these that can help show me how hopelessly lost she is.

I’d love to read more of this in the (hopefully) near future!
