Kenem: You weren’t there. You didn’t hear what he said to me.

Rhioe: What did he say?

Kenem: ‘What are you going to do, stab me?’

Jin: That’s fair.

 

Rhioe: Hey, can you ask Jin something for me?

Kirat: I would, but he’s not talking to me because I put ketchup in his socks.

Rhioe:

 

Jin, pointing at Kirat: Early bird.

Kirat, pointing at Kenem: Night owl.

Kenem: What does that make you?

Jin: I. . . am an exhausted pigeon.

 

Power goes out

Rhioe: It’s so. . . dark.

Kirat: Don’t worry, I got this.

Kirat: *stomps feet*

*sketchers light up*

 

Rhioe: Why are you drinking coffee at 10 PM?
Kirat: Time is an illusion, once we realize that, the happier we’ll be.

Kirat: *takes a sip*

Kirat: Also I have a ten page essay due tomorrow that I haven’t started.

 

Kenem: *puts salt in coffee* *gives it to Rhioe*

Rhioe: *sips coffee*

Kenem:

Rhioe: *finishes coffee*

Kenem: . . . Didn’t the coffee taste weird?

Rhioe: Yeah. But I didn’t want to hurt your feelings so I drank it all.

Kenem, tearing up: Okay.

 

Kenem: *reading a book* I accidentally stabbed someone this morning.

Rhioe: Really?

Kenem: Yes.

Jin: You accidentally stabbed someone?

Kenem: *not looking up from his book* Yes.

Kirat: Accidentally?

Kenem: Yes.

Jin: I don’t understand, how could you accidentally stab someone? Were you just tying your shoelaces and this happened?
