Yess same. I really loved linking Chewie’s story together a bit more. The whole ‘origin story’ idea was really cool to me too. It showed how Han became the arrogant smuggler we meet in episode four and I felt that it made him even deeper than what we got to see in the original trilogy. It showed a more weak, uncertain Han, and that was really cool.

Ahh, that definitely makes a difference, yep. Have you always not particularly liked Han, or did you just not like him in this movie?

Also, YES, I absolutely agree that characters are a hugely important part of writing a good, memorable story. You’re spot on, there.
