Tears

Shiny, bright, new tears,

Revealing pain, from the past years,

Flowing, relentless, never stopping,

Dripping, onto the little girl’s coffin,

Why did the poor child have to die?
Now she’s still, in peace she lies,

Why was she destined for such a fate?

Why didn’t we realize until it was too late?

The poor little girl, with dark blue eyes,

My friend beside me, shakes as he cries,

Aura was special, to both me and to him,

And now she was gone, without a warning,

My friend put his hand, upon my shaking arm,

And we walked away, to upset to be calm,

I sat with red eyes, shaking with sobs,

Wondering if, she was better off where she was,

Judah sat next to me, trying to give comfort,

The tears rolled down, shining in the dirt,

We sat there, for quite a long while,

I wiped away tears, I was finally done crying,

Crying wouldn’t bring the little girl back,

It was time to move forward, that was a fact,

Aura wouldn’t want us, to cry for her so,

She is somewhere better, this I know.
