Arlin was always amused by the way Anton’s horse insisted upon giving them trouble. Well, it was more like the horse enjoyed giving Anton a hard time because Arlin never had a problem with Me’swen. That’s probably why Arlin was leaping from branch to branch, getting into position to drop onto Me’swen once Anton herded him back this way. He cracked a smile, which felt odd because for once, it was genuine. However, his smile quickly faded as he spotted two strangers up ahead. “We were supposed to be along out here.” He thought frantically as he crouched on a branch close to the trunk of the tree. What could he do? Their outfits didn’t appear to be that of the guard, but they could be rebels. Neither would be good at this point, but he’d take the rebels over the king’s men any day. At least he still had friends with the rebels. On the bright side, they could just be ordinary people, but Arlin never was one to be optimistic. Pessimism had kept them alive so he determined he’d stick to that. However, he should still warn them a horse was fixing to come stampeding through here. He crept forward as quietly as he could, moving two trees closer. Arlin could hear the horse coming now, but oddly there were more hoofbeats than there should be. He quickly realized one of two things must have happened and neither were good. “You down there! I suggest you find a tree or another safe spot quickly! There’s a stampede coming!”

(I’ll introduce Anton shortly. Oh, and quick descriptions of how Arlin looks. He has short blonde that tends to be uncontrollably spiky, that’s why he keeps it short XD. He has blue eyes that tend to look hollow at times like he’s not all there. He’s probably about 5ft 9in. His clothing consists of a faded dull green shirt that is mostly covered by brown leather armor, black pants that resemble jeans but are not jeans, and brown boots that appear to be made out of some kind of animal skin. He is also carrying a collapsible staff and his belt doubles as a whip, but those items are not currently visible. I will post a description of Anton when I introduce him. I suppose I also need to describe what their horses look like… I’ll do that when they show up.)
