Hi, guys! So, I created this thread because I had this idea… what if storytellers and wordsmiths could work together to craft a story? From what I understand (correct me if I’m wrong), storytellers are those who are always coming up with stories and new ideas, while wordsmiths love the more technical side of writing. I happen to be one of the latter. I love words. I love the subtlety of meaning in each, the rhythm and cadence of their sounds, the mental imagery and connotations each word evokes. I’m also somewhat of a grammar nut. Well, except when I’m trying to create realistic dialogue. <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>However, I struggle with coming up with original stories.</span><span style=”line-height: 1.5;”> Once I get a mental image in my head, I feel I can describe it fairly well, but then I’m not sure where to go from there. So I’m stuck with snippets of nice-sounding prose, but no story.</span>
So I’m wondering, would someone like to collaborate with me? Maybe we could work on a short story together. Then when we’re done with it, maybe we’ll both have learned something new. Care to join me? @anyone
