Here as in this dimension or as in at this party?” Ignis asked.

“Did you two come togeth–” Amber began, then stood stock still with a shock and confusion settling over her face.  She stared at Ignis for a few moments motionless and then bit her lip .

Megyn watched her with concern. Why does it bother her so much? Oh, why am I here, Lord? Why are we all here? 

Just then Amber shook herself and her eyes cleared. “Um . . . I’m sorry,” she laughed, “Got a little lost in my own thoughts there. I do that a lot…sometimes.” Amber swallowed, then turned to Megyn. ” Did you said you didn’t know how you got here?”.

“Yes, I did.”Megyn replied. “I had been hiking with a friend in my home mountain range when I slid into a canyon and we were separated. In trying to find my way out I spotted the lights of this mansion and followed a path that brought me here.”

She studied Amber’s face a moment, then asked. “What’s wrong? You seem . . . distressed and confused about how we got here.”

She glanced in Ignis’ direction only to see her slip away through the crowds and vanish. Strange . . .

“I guess Ignis had to go help some else.” She looked into Amber’s eyes, trying to decipher their expression.
