“Likewise,” Amber smiled back. “How long have you two been here?”

“Me? I’ve barely been here twenty minutes.” Megyn laughed shakily. “And I still don’t understand how I got here.”

“Here as in this dimension or as in at this party?” Ignis asked.

“Did you two come togeth–” Amber began, then stood stock still. Wait. She didn’t…she didn’t just say…no, there’s no way she said another dimension…did she? Amber’s mind began to race. This can’t be right. I mean, it could be, but it isn’t–it couldn’t be possible, could it? The queasy feeling was turning sour and spreading to the rest of her abdomen.Megyn did say she didn’t know how she got here. Maybe she–no, there’s no way. Buck said that was rare. Then maybe Ignis brought her? She looks strange enough to be an agent. Maybe she–wait.
Amber bit her bottom lip. What was she thinking? She probably just misheard Ignis. Yes, that must be it. The room they were in was kind of loud, and her ears were still sore from hosting that six-year-old’s birthday party. Yes, there could be no doubt; she misheard Ignis.

Suddenly Amber realized she was staring. “Um…sorry,” she laughed, forcing the sick feeling back into her stomach. “Got a little lost in my own thoughts there. I do that a lot…sometimes.” Amber swallowed, then turned to Megyn. ” Did you said you didn’t know how you got here?”
