@tinuviel I think in most traditional versions the servants are invisible. I am not a big fan of the movies but I LOVE Evermore. I cried when I first heard it (at a furniture store watching it on the display tvs) and my brother was like… “Seriously? You know she comes back, right?”

I have read both of those books! I believe both of them stick fairly close to the traditional story, but for the sisters being nice instead of mean. Honestly, when I read it I was like “Why did this author write two retellings that are practically identical?” The one about roses had a lot of roses, but neither of them made me think “Wow this is a new version that has pointed out a part of the tale I have never seen before or made me think about it in a different way.” They were both just fairly standard retellings.
