Amber’s eyes ran across the room again. I know they couldn’t have just disappeared into thin–well, maybe they did, who knows? Buck probably w– Just then, Amber’s gaze stopped on one of the girls she was looking for. She was shorter than Amber, with nut brown hair and hazel eyes that reminded her of someone she knew. Amber smiled and strode over to where she was.
“Hello!” Amber smiled and began to wave but stopped suddenly. “Whoa, that’s a lot of food! McElroy must’ve hired an army of caterers to cook all that!”
