I have two story worlds right now, so I guess I’ll do the one Moonwatcher is set in. (I don’t know if you remember, but Moonwatcher is the story I posted a blurb about for critique a little while ago.) I didn’t spend a ton of time on worldbuilding elements that didn’t directly pertain to the plot, so there actually aren’t any pets… Which is kind of sad. I might have to give someone a pet now. As for the best vacation spots, the city where the story takes place is an ancient mountain metropolis, but it has a lot of futuristic elements, so it would be a pretty cool place to visit.. It’s like Macchu Picchu, but with a Star Wars-style twist. There’s a giant observatory, marketplaces where merchants from the lower lands sell all sorts of things, and a healthy dose of secret passageways, so there’s plenty to do. The most epic/amazing thing about the world is probably the culture. I started out writing Moonwatcher as fantasy and didn’t add the futuristic elements until later, so the flavor of the city ended up being a cross between a medieval Chinese city and the setting for a modern sci-fi thriller (again, like Star Wars). It took me a loooooong time to flesh out the worldbuilding, so I’m really happy with how it turned out. 🙂
