@tashah-claymore I’ll say I love eggnog in large doses, but then I feel all clogged up and just take it in tiny dollops from the excess of spoons that my family has labelled our ice-cream spoons for their long handles and small scoops (don’t ask me why). Anyway, my whole family loves eggnog and I wish it was a year-round thing.
Yeah, my sister and I (occasionally our parents) sometimes go berserk with our Irish accents. It’s quite an ‘ilarious experience! Ah, yes, you definitely should.
Yes, he plays an English Sherlock (I say English [not for the obvious] but because he goes into this act of being very dramatic and it’s really humourous.
AN IDEA: Maybe for your oceans, you can have these people come together in some questionable way from different nationalities who differ greatly and have them bond on the ship. You could make it an epic voyage. And you could write or have someone else write a large epic poem on it.
I think you got something going with the general shape of Morgith (people may think that Morgith is a cliche of Morgoth from Tolkien, but I think it’s great), but I would advise revising your map and separating the countries from each other so that you have some room to improvise. You take Tolkien’s, there’s open space, right? Not a lot, but enough for questions. Yes, broaden it up and add rivers and water features that help the flow and look of the land. I would definitely add islands.
I think I added too many, but it is, after all, an archipelago. BUT. Separate and leave some things uncertain. It adds to the overall feel of interest, mystery, and fantasy in the map and the world.
Thank you! It is a broad one to be sure, but later I will expand into other maps of that so that does not become crowded. I do not know myself all of the cities of Anadyre and there are many places still yet to be explored, both by me and my characters. The archipelago is so far uninhabited. It used to be inhabited to a very small extent by gnomes. They had a city-state there. I haven’t really gone there yet. I like the name Shathore! The Dead Labyrinth sounds interesting too. Yeah, keep going!
Yes! I’ve never been able to talk like this with someone before; there aren’t any people that I know who have the same interests as me. Thank goodness my brother found SE. My Mom was asking him if I could publish my poetry on here and that’s how I got to know this. I know exactly what you’re talking about! It’s like I’ll be thinking of History (for school) then something will pop up in my head and I’ll quickly write it down in my notes. Then it keeps germinating in my mind and I finally finish my school for the day and I buzz through it. Then there’re those times where I’ve got a lot of ideas going through my head and I’ll bring out a character through them. That’s how I created Haflin Glor. I wrote an essay on it too, which turned out pretty well.
Do you have a book where you write down pieces of scenes or notes or ideas that you have? If you look back at those pictures of my maps you’ll see this little black notebook in the top right-hand corner. That’s my book.
It’s where eventually most of my notes and ideas end up. It’s like my compost pile (those videos that SE is sending out). My physical and visual instinctionary that sprouts from my mental instinctionary. –instinctionary: coined my Matthew Roland. This is what my quote means in English as best as I can represent it: [The winds] [of all] [who wander]-[this world]:[are conflicted.] Those last two words should be blended. (Those in the brackets are single words). The sentence structure is obviously different, but that’s the general meaning. Oh yes, it’s in Lathraen. An extinct elvish language, previously used before the destruction of what is now called the Uredan by the elves. Uredan in English literally means ‘great blackness’ because the what’dIcalledthem’s destroyed that planet with fire after a great catastrophe took place. So it appears when the sun is setting once every two months (each consisting of 47 days) and casts a shadow upon Anadyre. For them, I’m sure it would be a thing to behold.
What would you do if you could enter your world? Like, you could pack up all the things you need and jump into a portal and escape into Morgith. What would you do and where would you go?
