@w-o-holmes that word count competition sounds really cool!  My bro’s not really into writing, so I can’t do it with him.  None of my family members are really into writing, and my friends who are writers live at least a half hour away from my house.  So it’s difficult to get together with them for writing sessions like that.  And I’m not familiar with swamp coolers.   I’ve never heard that term before.

The poem you wrote is awesome!  I can definitely picture both rider and horse while reading it, and it’s fantastic!

Tom Bombadil is an amazing character by Tolkien.  I wish they included him in the movies.  I used to watch VeggieTales, but not anymore.  Haflin Glor is a great name, and his character sounds really cool!  At least what  little I know does.

Legend of Zelda is a series of video games, and the main characters are a warrior named Link and a princess named Zelda.   They’re really great games.  They’re fantasy with a really cool world (Hyrule) and great story lines.

I’m glad you like my drawing!  And yes, he is supposed to be somewhat mysterious and stealthy, so I’m glad it gives that impression!  I don’t really have a list of characters.  Just different files on my computer for each story, and individual ones for the characters that don’t have a story yet.  I usually try to get a character profile of each of them.  I haven’t gotten many yet, though.  I would love to draw all my characters and creatures and such one day.  I’m sure I’ll be able to eventually, just not soon.  I still need to practice a lot!
