@w-o-holmes yeah, the Silmarillion is a pretty difficult read.

I don’t really know if I have a specific strongpoint when it comes to art.  I do kind of a mix of everything.  But I recently started my 6th year (I think) of art class.  In my class we do all sorts of things like drawing, painting, sculpting and others.  And I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, even before the class.  So I suppose I’ve had quite a bit of experience.  Acrylic paint is pretty difficult to get smooth and such.  Oil paints are much easier (I’ve used them in my class) but they’re much more expensive, so I probably won’t get any of my own anytime soon.  Besides, to clean acrylic paint you just use water.  Oil needs a special cleaning solution, which, of course, also costs a lot of money.

It’s fine that drawing with pencils is what you’re good at.  Watercolor can be pretty difficult as well, so that’s understandable.  My watercolor paintings aren’t exactly the best, but I guess they’re ok.  When you draw with pencils, is that with just drawing pencils?  Black and white?  Or do you also use colored pencils?

I think I applied for being put in a guild, but haven’t received a response yet.  What about you?  Are you in any guilds?
