@Daeus-Lamb HA, I literally JUST started doing the same thing a couple weeks ago, and it’s amazing. I have a tendency to cramp my writing too much by being so stringent about what I MUST and MUST not do, and it was getting to the point that I was stressing when my chapters would go 100 words over the 2,000 mark. I’m trying to break that habit and stop caring so much about chapter length, but I’ve found that 5,000 is a nice balance and it allows so much more breathing room to fit in all the little details.
