Well, the plot is the reason the MC’s whole pack has been captured, and only he and the ex-enemy, Loya, are left behind. The MC, Lotro, is determined to save his pack, and Loya is determined to protect Lotro. He wants her to tell him about the plot so he can figure out how to save them, but she doesn’t want him to go because she’s afraid he’ll be killed. However, she knows not telling him the plot will make him suspicious of her, and that he would probably try to save them anyway. So, she decides the best thing to do is to alter the details in the hopes of sending him down the wrong (and safer) track while she finds a way to save them herself.
