Hey all! So I know I’ve been busy (as many of you have been) and kind of all over the place, but I have important news to share! I have officially started a blog solely for my writing! I’ve written other blogs on a looser basis before, but this is in my mind much more serious and a little terrifying. Since I know that a lot of you blog already, I would appreciate your input on the hows to go about navigating this business. The main things I am wondering about is:

    1. Should I update my blog weekly or twice a week? (Initially, I thought I’d do it on Saturdays, but I feel like I should get a feel for it during summer so I won’t flounder when school kicks in high gears.)
    2. Should I post my short stories on the blog? Lately, I’ve been concentrating on my WIP novel mostly and haven’t really written short stories that reflect my current skill. I did submit in a local story magazine that got published (Cheers!), but that is from a while back. Should I still go and write something so people can tell if they would like my writing style/stories or not?
    3. What are some tips to grow the audience? I’ve only started, so I shouldn’t be too ambitious, but this is where I get nervous the most. I’ve been emailing people I know and asking them to take a look at the blog and possibly subscribe, but is this kind of annoying? (Or me just being here asking questions kind of…?) Should I try to have articles I write be featured on other blogs if possible despite the fact I feel like I am not qualified to give writing advice?

So yes, I am rather outside my comfort zone but I wish to make this work somehow during the summer so I would know what to do later on. I would appreciate any input and thank you for your time.
