 How happy the birds must be–

Sky-kings and sky-queens–

Traveling along a pathway of clouds

Tinted with the sun

Tinted gold in the morning

Tinted rose in the evening

Traveling silhouetted against the sky.

 

And I can only wander on this earth on foot

And travel the expanse of blue skies,

The realm of stars and dreams and thought,

Only on the wings of imagination.

 

Can you see the irony in this or am I being too subtle?
