@princess-foo I have enjoyed word wars for the same reason – I’m much more focused on the story as it flows, rather than the individual words. I get a lot more done, but I’m also much less satisfied with that draft. XD

@seekjustice Those sound like awesome motivations! I asked for a whiteboard this year for my birthday and I’ve found it so fun!

I don’t actually use any food as motivation; the only thing I have resorted to is writing late at night. Unfortunately, that’s usually because of procrastination, rather than intentionally viewing it as a splurge. I think it would help if I viewed it as a writer’s reward, though.

@kelly-lundgren I often end up writing pretty late at night, too xD Something about creating in the dead of night…It’s pretty awesome.

Also, that’s an awesome strategy to mix it up by writing something you don’t often write!
